Tasse bleue sur terre grise - motif de tressage Faïence 5 cm and height ↕A regular and symmetrical pattern for a braiding effect, with small butterfly shapes at the intersections of the patterns. The gray clay reveales slight blue'ish reflections, reminiscent of the Svres blue glaze on the inside. This cup was wheel thrown then stamped by hand, each design requires 9 applications of 4 or 5 different tools. The exterior is waterproof but remains slightly rough in contrast to the smooth glaze on the interior. Dimensions :
