There is no stiffness or tightness, it has a great balance of lows mids highs, and plenty of volume as well. It reacts exceptionally well to how you play and will take anything you throw at it. Obviously it handles the heavy strumming well, but the surprising thing is how well it reciprocates your playing when you back off of it.
